Vintage luggage labels are colorful, artistic paper labels that were stuck to suitcases and travel trunks by hotels, cruise lines, and travel agencies and also collected as memorabilia. Though they are no longer in vogue as suitcases and travel bags are rarely solid, they were most popular from the 1900s to the 1950s, especially during the “Golden Age of Travel”, the 20s – 50s. They were both a form of advertising and a badge of prestige for well-traveled individuals.
